The team behind the hit RTÉ series Love/Have have started working on a new project. Filming on crime drama series Taken Down has begun in the city and will continue for the next ten weeks.
Stuart Carolan, David Caffrey and Suzanne McAuley have teamed up and best selling author Jo Spain for the new series which stars Lynn Rafferty as Detective Jen Rooney, who is called in to investigate the death of a young Nigerian migrant.
The cast also features former Love/Hate stars Brian Gleeson and Jimmy Smallhorne, Aissa Maiga (Anything For Alice), Orla Fitzgerald (The Young Offenders) and Barry Ward (Maze), Enoch Frost (Skyfall) and Slimane Dazu (A Prophet).
Speaking to RTE about the project, executive producer McAuley said: "We have set out to create a world of unique characters in a modern Ireland but in the context of the globalisation of crime."
Taken Down is set to air on RTÉ in August.
