MESSAGE! One of this year's most popular Love Island contestants has landed a new presenting gig. Ovie Soko will appear as a guest chef in the This Morning kitchen.

According to The Mirror, the basketball player will join hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on Thursday's show to chat about finishing in third place along side India Reynolds.

Speaking about the announcement, Ovie said: “Message! Cooking on This Morning is going to be dope, but I’ll need to graft hard if my infamous eggs are to live up to the hype for Love Island fans Eamonn and Ruth. They’re daytime royalty after all.”

This Morning Editor Martin Frizell says the team are "thrilled" to have Ovie on board.

Soko isn't the only Islander who has landed a TV gig. Longford's Maura Higgins will be hosting her own agony aunt segment called 'Maura Than Meets The Eye', which will see her take on a series of challenges.

Confirming the news last week, Maura said:

"I’m getting flutters about joining This Morning. I can’t believe it. It’s beyond my wildest dreams. I’ve grown up watching Phillip, Holly, Eamonn, Ruth and the team. Mad to think I’m now part of that iconic family. Can’t wait to crack on."

Meanwhile, this year's Love Island runners up Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague will appear on This Morning on Friday.
