Fans of Stranger Things have been speculating whether Barb will return to the show when its second season airs in next year. 

Last night, she made a shock comeback on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show in the form of a hilarious sketch. 

The show's head writer A.D. Miles played Barb in the skit featuring Dustin Henderson (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).

Yesterday, Netflix confirmed production of the second series of Stranger Things. 

Season 2 of the super-natural thriller is being scripted by writer-creators Matt and Ross Duffer.

Fans of the show will have to wait until 2017 to catch the new series, which will consist of nine new episodes. 

Netflix has released a teaser trailer for Season 2 giving very little away, but they have revealed the titles of each episode.

The first season of the show - which also stars Winona Ryder and David Harbour -tells the story of a young boy who vanishes into thin air.

As friends, family and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl.
