It's end of the road for Jack Fowler and Laura Crane on Love Island. Last night's episode saw the pair become the latest couple to be dumped from the villa, after receiving the least amount of votes from the public.

The two other couples at risk were Josh and Kaz and Wes and Megan.

Jack and Laura have given their first interview since leaving the hit show, less than a week before the grand finale.

Read their Q&A below:

JACK

How do you feel about leaving the villa?

Leaving the villa is very upsetting because I’ve got a lot of friends in there and I had a great time in there. Ultimately I’ve gone in there for a connection with someone and I’ve left with a connection with someone which is what I wanted. It’s bitter sweet.

Is there anything that you would have done differently?

No. When I was standing up there and there was a text announcing me leaving, I thought to myself, I don’t regret anything. From start to finish I was myself. I was honest. There is nothing that I would have changed.

Who do you think you clicked with the most?

I clicked with all of the boys, we had so much banter between all of us. And with regards to the girls, obviously Laura who I left with. I was coupled up with original Laura before then and that was really good, I was happy but where I’m at with new Laura, I feel it is more genuine and I feel more for her in a shorter period of time than I did with original Laura.

Do you feel you left things on good terms with original Laura?

Yes. I said to Laura at the beginning, ‘Whatever happens, I will always be 100 per cent honest with you.’ I always want you to be happy whether that’s with me or someone else. It was only right for me to talk to her on her own last night before I left to say, ‘You were a big part of my journey in here. I do think a lot of you and I am really grateful for you.’ I wanted to make sure she was okay and tell her how happy I was for her and Paul. She was quite proud of me at the end.

Is there anyone or was there anyone who you think or thought was playing a game?

Feelings in there are all genuine. People can play a game but there’s no one in there who I think particularly made a game of it all. All of the couples in there are genuine, they have real feelings. In any relationships there are ups and downs but no I don’t think anyone in there at the moment is playing a game.

You went in during the Casa Amor twist. Which of the Islanders you met were most different to what your original expectations were?

In my mind, I had a perception of Adam but getting to know him and meeting him, my whole thought process completely changed. He is such a genuinely nice guy. He wore his heart on his sleeve. He was quite quiet compared to what I thought he would be like. He was a lovely guy.

What are your favourite memories?

So many! One of my standout memories was when Laura walked through the door. I said to the boys, ‘I’m in trouble now’ because I’ve said it would take something special to spin my head. When I saw her and I said ‘hello’ to her, I knew that was it. Another memory was winning a few of the challenges. All of it was such an experience and I loved every minute of it.

How did you feel going into the show during the Casa Amor twist?

When I went in during the Casa Amor twist, I wasn’t too sure how it was going to work. In there I thought tens of thousands of people would love to do this so it didn’t matter if I’d be in there for a week or for the rest of the time, I just wanted to be myself and love every minute of it. I feel like I enjoyed and experienced what Love Island is really about.

With you and Laura does it feel like you’ve known each other a lot longer than you have?

Going into the villa, you know it’s going to be intensified but I didn’t realise until I went in there how quickly things would move. When I met Laura, I realised very quickly that there are feelings there and it would be wrong of me to deny it. We are very good. We’ve got stronger every day. We’ve had challenges and obstacles that we’ve had to overcome as a couple and I think we have done. We are strong and it’s exciting.

Which of the couples would you tip to be engaged by this time next year?

If you were to ask me who will get engaged in the future then I’d say Jack and Dani. They’re both still young. There is talk of them moving in together. They are so well suited. If they pop the question a year from now, it wouldn’t surprise me.

Would you go back in to the villa?

I would love to go back into the villa to experience my family coming into the villa, to see what I’ve been living in. To get to the final in anything is great but for me I was ready to go. I went in there for a reason and I found the reason. When my name was called out to leave, it was a bit upsetting of course but I felt like it was time.

Was there anything that surprised you the most about doing the show?

I was surprised at how fast things move and how one text can change the whole morale in the villa. Whether it’s a positive text and you’re doing a challenge or you’re having a party or it’s a dumping or there’s a lie detector or a public poll.

What are the next steps for you and Laura?

It’s going to be different leaving the villa and being in the outside world. We won’t be living together, it won’t be as intense but we are going to keep seeing each other, we are going to keep doing what we’re doing. Ultimately we are in a position where we’re trying to get to know each other as much as possible and hopefully end up in a relationship. It’s going that way.

There was a lot of reaction to the kiss between you and Georgia on your date. How frustrating was it for you that Georgia was saying something different?

As soon as I got back from the date, I told original Laura exactly what happened. It was a bit frustrating because there were certain people in the villa who didn’t believe me. Ultimately, all I cared about was that Laura believed the truth and she believed me from the outset. It was frustrating but I knew in myself what happened and for me that was enough. As long as me and original Laura, who I was coupled with at the time, was happy, that was all that mattered to me.

The truth always prevails. I knew at some point, everyone would know the truth and I told the Islanders that when they left, they would see for themselves. I just thought give it time, people will see it and will know the truth.

LAURA

How do you feel about leaving the villa?

I feel really happy about leaving the villa. I was in there for ten days which compared to some isn’t a long time but for me it was the perfect amount of time. I went in there and I came out with exactly what I was looking for. I met some amazing friends and I met Jack, so I’m happy. Leaving together, you couldn’t hope for more really. You go in there looking for love so I feel like I’ve been lucky and come out with what everyone hopes to leave with.

Is there anything you would have done differently?

I have absolutely no regrets of being in there. The Steph situation could have been dealt with differently, as she was upset. It was a hard one for me as I didn’t want to steer her away from Jack. I didn’t think it was my place to go in there guns blazing and tell her we had had a kiss. I was very true to myself, so no regrets.

I definitely found opening up in there a massive thing. It was a massive positive that I allowed myself to open up rather than sweep my feelings under the carpet which I usually do. I don’t think Jack and I would be where we are today if I hadn’t opened up about my feelings as much as I did.

Who did you click with the most?

My two best friends were Megan and Kaz. Megan has such a beautiful heart and is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. She’s got insecurities she has had to tackle face on. It took her a while to properly be herself and be comfortable with who she is but every day I saw her be more and more comfortable and I was so proud of it. She helped me through little struggles so I’m so glad I met her.

Alex massively surprised me; he’s a hilarious guy and very confident. There wasn’t a physical attraction there but he’s a lovely guy and anyone would be lucky to have him.

Is there anyone you think is playing a game?

Not at all. In there it’s really easy to get caught up in certain scenarios and things like that. It’s so genuine in there. Unless you’re in there it’s hard to see but all the feelings are so genuine. The laughs, the love, the tears….I don’t think anyone is playing a game.

Which Islander was most different to your expectations?

Probably Megan.

What are your favourite memories?

Winning the challenges, I didn’t lose one challenge. Every one I did, I came out on top. I loved the challenges, it was nice to do things all together. Obviously my date with Jack was really, really nice. I think probably just messing around in the villa, we had such a laugh and everyone got on so well.

When I went in everybody was in their couples and very happy so I think I went in quite nervous that I would have to step on people’s toes, which is the not the kind of person I am. If Jack and old Laura had decided to work on their issues, I wouldn’t have meddled. But I was lucky it panned out that him and Laura split and Laura is now happy with Paul.

Which couple would you tip to be engaged by this time next year?

Jack and Dani

Given the chance would you go back in?

Yes definitely. I’ve only known them for ten days but you become a big family. I’m already missing them. Waking up this morning and not being in the same room was strange. I will of course miss living together; we’ve had the best time.

What surprised you the most about doing the show?

I think just how real I could be in there. It was nerve wracking going in there and meeting new people. I was very nervous and was worried I couldn’t be myself and get my personality across. It surprised how even more myself I could be in there than I would be on the outside world. The support of everyone on the show and the Islanders was great.

What is next for you and Jack?

We’re just really excited to carry on the way we are going. It’s nice just to be able to carry that on. We want to go to Devon and he wants to show me how he can surf.

Love Island continues on 3e tonight from 9pm.
