Children and their sick and injured teddies are at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin this morning for the annual Teddy Bear Hospital.

The event aims to help children feel comfortable around doctors and hospitals, and teaches them how to stay healthy through diet and exercise.

Some teddys have been complaining about broken legs, and others broken hearts.

It's being run by the students from the paediatrics society.

Claire Gallibois is one of the people behind it - she says they've been running the event for five years now.

"The parents have found that the children are less afraid of going to the hospital or going to their doctors, which is excellent," she said.

"Also we've had great feedback on the teaching -- we've had stations on nutrition, and on yoga and wellness," she added.
