Tomorrow is expected to be the hottest day of the year so far.

Temperatures are predicted to reach as high as 22 degrees on Saturday.

Met Eireann says tomorrow will be mostly warm and sunny, although isolated showers, some heavy, will develop during the afternoon.

Inland areas, away from the coast, will see the best of the conditions.

Although today and tomorrow are expected to be warm, there will be a change on Sunday as temperatures are expected to drop significantly.

Meteorologist Joanna Donnelly says to enjoy the warmer conditions while they last;

"After Saturday we've got a change of air mass, so we've got high pressure building once again but this time it's coming from the north and it's going to feel significantly colder, about a 10 degree drop in the maximum day time temperatures from Sunday on."

Dublin forecast

Saturday mist and fog will clear to give mostly sunny and dry conditions, although an isolated heavy shower is possible in the evening, according to Met Éireann.

Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees are expected but it will be cooler near the coast.
