Liverpool legend Ian Rush feels Chelsea fans have every right to be 'disappointed' with José Mourinho's team selection this Sunday. The Blues boss hasn't revealed which eleven he will pick for his side's trip to Anfield but with a Champions League semi-final second leg match against Atletico Madrid looming next Wednesday, Mourinho has threatened to rest virtually his whole team.

His plan has been given the seal of approval by Roman Abramovich but will infuriate title-chasing Manchester City. Rush doesn't think it is just City and their fans who should be annoyed.

"If I was a Chelsea supporter, you'd be disappointed. If you're paying to go to Liverpool, you want to watch your best team play."

The Pensioners are already without Petr Cech and John Terry who were injured in the first-leg against the La Liga leaders but Rush feels that they have a big enough squad to cope, while still battling on both fronts.

"If you've got three games to go and if you win them three games you can win the league, why shouldn't you (play your best team)? That's what you've got to be looking at, if you're a Chelsea supporter saying why can't we win the league?"

Look at how much they paid for the squad. You're there to compete in the league and the Champions League. Liverpool at the moment are just trying to get into the Champions League."

Rush was in Dublin to promote the visit of Liverpool to the Aviva Stadium where they will play Shamrock Rovers on May 15th.

A limited number of tickets for the game are still on sale from €30*, with the first batch of category C tickets (€20) already sold out. Tickets are available from: www.fai.ie or www.ticketmaster.ie
