Meyler Heaps Pressure On Arsenal

Following two defeats without managing to score against Arsenal, Hull City aren't being given much chance of beating the Londoners in this year's FA Cup final. The Tigers lost 2-0 to Arsenal earlier in the season while in the home fixture at the weekend it was a 3-0 beating for Hull.

Irish midfielder David Meyler played in both defeats but when asked about them was quick to point to Arsenal's poor silverware haul over the last decade.

"Arsenal haven't won a trophy for nine years you know so the pressure's on them to come out and beat us. We're the underdogs and I suppose we've got a great chance. Yea they've beaten us 3-0 at home and when they were at home they beat us 2-0 but that doesn't matter, it's a one-off game and we're quite confident we can win."

Before the final, Meyler & co. need to ensure they will be in the Premier League next season. As it stands with four games to play and six points clear of the relegation zone, Hull look out of danger but another four points should guarantee safety.

Meyler doesn't expect an easy ride in the first of their final four matches this weekend when they take on one of the two sides trailing Hull by six.

"We've got Fulham Saturday and we need to win. Fulham are fighting for survival, fighting for their lives. They'll think Hull are coming here (Craven Cottage), we're at home, we can beat them but we think we can beat them so hopefully we'll win."

Meyler was at the launch of the 2014 eFlow FAI Summer Soccer Schools programme. This year's camps are priced at €65 (€55 for additional siblings). The first 5000 online bookings will be eligible for a complimentary adult and child ticket to a senior international fixture at the Aviva Stadium. Further info can be found at:
