Manchester City are drawing nil all with Aston Villa in this Premier League tie at the Etihad Stadium.

As it stands, this would be enough to send City back to the top of the Championship with one match left.

The possession stats were very much in favour of the home side but not many clearcut chances were created.

The best chance fell to City in injury time with Samir Nasri sending the ball wide at the near post from an accurate James Milner pickout.

Before that, Villa centre half Ron Vlaar stepped in to make a crucial intervention after David Silva had shot across goal from a Pablo Zabaleta pass.

And Yaya Toure had forced the only save of the match with Brad Guzan parrying for a corner.

As for Villa, the only chance for them was a breakout from Andreas Weimann but - instead of forcing a challenge from Zabaleta - he shot from distance and the effort was deflected for a flag kick.
