They're set to meet at a sold out National Stadium on August 30th.
That show is being promoted and organised by Eddie Hearns' Matchroom Boxing who have also pencilled in a date for November at the O2.
If he wins, Macklin could go up against Cotto for the title at the Liffeyside venue.
