Novak Djokovic will face Japan's Kei Nishikori in the semi finals of the US Open.
Djokovic beat Andy Murray in New York in a match that went late into the night- the Serb finally winning out by three sets to one- 7-6, 6-7, 6-2, 6-4.
Nishikori had earlier beaten third seed Stan Wawrinka in a five-set thriller to reach a Grand Slam semi for the first time.
In the women's draw, Serena Williams is into the last four after beating Flavia Pennetta 6-3 6-2.
And Russia's Ekaterina Makarova reached the semis with an easy 6-4, 6-2 win over Victoria Azarenka.
