Conal Keaney has hinted that his days as a Dublin hurler may be over.

The veteran forward played a key role in Ballyboden St Endas’ Dublin and Leinster Championship wins.

He's yet to commit to the intercounty cause for next year and admits he's not sure if at 33-year-old - he still has a role to play.

“I don’t really know what’s happening with Dublin, to be fair,” Keaney told the 42.ie. “I haven’t talked to Ger, I’ve just been concentrating on this. Maybe I’m too old to play anymore, I don’t know.”

“It’s always on your mind, you’re always trying to look at yourself because there’s always a season ahead or something coming down the line but, you know, I do have to really look at it."

“I’m 33 now and is it the right thing for me or is it the right thing for Dublin for me to keep going? I don’t know. It’s just as well we won so the decision won’t be for a while.”

Two players who definitely won't be in the panel next year are Simon Lambert and Alan Nolan both have been told by Ger Cunningham that their services will not be required next season.

Danny Sutcliffe reportedly informed Ger Cunningham of his decision to opt out of his Dublin commitments over the weekend, the St Judes forward was not present at the panel’s first meeting last night.
