General Election 2016 will be held on the last Friday of this month, February 26th.
If you're planning to vote, and it's something you're really encouraged to do, you need to check you're on the register. Even if you've voted before, it's worth just making sure as sometimes names can fall off.

The Register of Electors 2016-2017 was published on the 1st February 2016 and is also on display at Dublin City Council offices, Garda Stations, Libraries, Post Offices.
Dublin City Council's Vincent Norton said "I would encourage all who are eligible to vote to check the website immediately and to register with your local authority, to be included on the Supplementary Register."
"Postal applications must be received by 5pm Friday, 5th February 2016 and the Supplementary Register will close on Tuesday 9th February 2016, 5pm deadline".
To be eligible to vote in this election you must be Irish, or a British citizen living in Ireland.

All applications must be sent to your local authority before 5PM on Tuesday February 9th:
Dublin City: Franchise Section, Dublin City Council, Block 4, Floor 1, Civic Offices, Wood Quay, Dublin 8.
Dun Laoghaire Rathdown: Franchise Section, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Dundrum Office Park, Off Main Street, Dundrum, Dublin 14.
South Dublin: South Dublin County Council, Register of Electors, Corporate Performance & Change Management, County Hall, Tallaght, Dublin 24
Fingal: Franchise Section, Fingal County Council, County Hall, Main St, Swords, Co.Dublin.
