Gardai have appealed for help to find a man who attacked and punched an innocent woman on a Dublin bus.
The victim was travelling on the number 40 bus near old Kilmainham Village at approximately 10:15pm on Wednesday night when she was strck a number of times by the unidentified assailant.
The injured woman spent the nighht in hospital and her friend suffered a bruised eye after after he intervened.
Gardai are appealing to the 18 other passengers on board the bus to come forward and are examining CCTV footage.
