Witness Appeal In Aston Quay Assault

Gardaí are investigating the serious assault of a 33 year old man which happened at Aston Quay at around 9.30pm on Wednesday 24th September.

The injured man was taken to Saint James’ Hospital where his condition is described as critical.

It is believed that the incident happened on the road.

The suspect is a man in his 20’s/30’s, he's described as well built with dark hair.

He was wearing a light coloured t-shirt, grey hoody top with white writing on the front and grey tracksuit bottoms.

Prior to the attack the suspect removed his hoody and t-shirt and put them back on following the incident.

The suspect left the area in the direction of Westmoreland Street in the company of two other men who were wearing dark tracksuits.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information, particularly those who were in the vicinity of Aston Quay/Westmoreland Street between 9.15 and 9.45pm on Wednesday to contact them at Pearse Street Garda Station on 01 6669000, The Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
