It comes as two of the biggest bar groups in the country merge. The Mercantile owns Whelan's, Opium and the South William Bar amongst others, as well as restaurants like The Green Hen and Pichet. Capital Bars is known for The George, Howl at the Moon and Cafe on Seine.
