Two Nuns Who Died In Kerry Are Named

Two nuns who died after getting into difficulty while swimming in Co. Kerry yesterday have been named.

The Presentation Sisters, Imelda Carew and Paula Buckley, aged in their 60s and 70s originally from Co. Tipperary but based in Dublin, were holidaying in the area.

The women were airlifted from Inch Strand by the Coast Guard to Kerry General Hospital in Tralee where they were pronounced dead.

The Presentiation Sisters Union says everyone is stunned and shocked by the tragedy.

Elsewhere the body of a man in his 60s was found in the sea off Schull in Cork yesterday morning after a sailing accident on Wednesday.
