Six Fingal Beaches Reopen But Six Remain Closed

Six Dublin beaches have re-opened to swimmers.

Twelve of them were closed after heavy rain caused toxic waste to mix with the water.

According to Fingal Co. Council, the ones with continued poor water quality are Balbriggan Front Beach, Skerries South Beach, Loughshinny Beach, Rush South Beach, Portrane Beach (The Burrow), Rush North Beach.

People are being asked not to swim there.  

Beaches that have reopened are are safe to swim in are, Balcarrick Beach Donabate, Malahide Beach, Portmarnock Beach, Burrow Beach Sutton, Claremont Beach, and Hampton Cove Balbriggan.
