SIPTU train drivers in Irish Rail have voted for industrial action in a row over pay.

Union organiser Paul Cullen said "Ninety two percent of drivers voting in favour of industrial action, indicates the level of frustration felt at the company’s refusal to honour an agreement it entered into in September last year.

The union is calling on management to honour the terms and is warning that there will be disruption to services if the company doesn't comply.

The SIPTU Irish Rail Drivers committee will meet on Thursday to decide what form of industrial action will be taken.
