Gardai are investigating after shots were fired in Dublin late last night.
At about 10.20pm officers were called to Glencarrig Drive in Firhouse after reports of several shots.
Damage was caused to the window of one home and Gardai also noticed a suspect device in the vicinity.
They evacuated a number of houses and called the army bomb squad in, but experts declared the device a hoax.
Officers are now appealing for anyone with information to contact Rathfarnham Garda Station.
