Ryanair's been found guilty of breaking labour laws in France.

A court there has ordered the budget airline to pay €8M in fines and damages.

Ryanair had expected what it's called "a negative ruling" and says it will appeal.

The court found the airline failed to pay social insurance and state pension contributions for crew members using Marseille airport between 2007 and 2010.

The company says it wasn't liable as the staff were registered employed in Ireland.
