The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise, and Innovation will depart on a five-day, six-city, trade and investment mission to the United States this morning.
Richard Bruton will visit Houston, Austin, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Grand Rapids and Chicago on this two part mission which is being organised by Enterprise Ireland and the IDA.
The first two days will be spent in Texas with a delegation of 27 Irish companies who'll attend 14 meetings and events targeting opportunities in the oil and gas sector.
For the remaining three days the Minister will travel to the Mid-West for 10 one-on-one meetings with major multinational companies, focused particularly on pharma, medical devices and tech sectors.
The trade mission also includes interviews with US media outlets as part of the strategy to communicate Ireland’s recovery around the world.
