A man in his 40's has been knocked down and killed in County Limerick.
He was hit by a car while walking near Daly's Cross in Gooig, Castleconnell, at around 6am this morning.
The road is closed this afternoon for a forensic exam.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
