A pedestrian is in a serious condition following a collision in the city this morning.
The woman was hit by a car at Corkhill at the junction with Lord Edward St at around 7am.
Emergency services attended the scene and she was taken to St James's Hospital where she is in a serious condition.
As a result Dame St and Lord Edward St are closed both ways between Georges St and Fishamble St.
Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to contact them at Pearse St Garda Station.
