An emergency meeting's being held in Dublin today to discuss the emergency department overcrowding crisis.

It's being organised by the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation which says patience is wearing thin among members.

They say the number of people on trolleys has increased by 28 percent each year in the last five years.
