Nursing reps are calling for closed hospital beds to reopen to deal with overcrowding.
Figures out this morning show that the Mater and St James saw trolley numbers grow by 154 percent in July when compared to the same time last year.
Some hospitals saw their trolley figures reduce including Blanchardstown hospital.
