A new 500 seat theatre is being considered for Dublin to address the lack of large venues in the city.

A public consulatation on the issue will remain open for another week.

Sunil Sharpe from the Save the Night Campaign feels it should be more than just a theatre.

''We need dance spaces aswell. We need all purpose multi use spacse, including for the use of music, and not just stage shows. But we can do it all within the same space.''
