The 14th annual May Day Parade is underway in Ringsend and Irishtown.

The event has been online for the past two years, but today marks the parade's return to the streets.

From 2pm, there will be a marching band, as well as appearances from various clubs, organisations, and members of the wider community.

The RICC parade will also see some new additions this year including members from the How R U campaign, The Pitstop Krew, and Poolbeg Yacht Club.

Addison Whelan will march with her famous Ronaldo shirt, along with Shelbourne FC and Mental Health Ireland who will also attend.

Addison Whelan is greeted by Cristiano Ronaldo before getting his jersey after the final whistle of the FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifying match between Ireland and Portugal at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Speaking ahead of the event, RICC Manager Lorraine said:

"Finally we are back doing what we do best and that's bringing the whole community together. Our theme of 'Be Kind,' is so important at this time given what everyone has endured these past two years. It was great to see all the smiling faces again."
