The staging of concerts at Marlay Park is to be reviewed following a number of complaints this summer.

It followed several gigs at the venue including the Longitude festival.

The park in Rathfarnham was the location for eight nights of gigs including the Longitude Festival over three weeks in June and July.

Now one councillor received up to 150 complaints from residents concerned about noise levels, traffic congestion and some anti-social behaviour issues.

Officials will meet councillors in the autumn to review the events.

The benefits of the concerts will also be outlined.

Its thought that Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Co. Council collected up to 600 thousand euro from the gigs all of which goes to recreational facilities.
