Dublin GAA star Jonny Cooper has released a statement ten days after he was attacked with a knife in the capital.
The 24 year old tweeted has tweeted a link to a statement thanking those who helped him on the night he was attacked.
He also says the support he received over the past week has been incredibly humbling.
He sustained serious injuries to his face and upper body in what Gardai say was a random, unprovoked attacked on Dorset Street.
A 31 year old man has been questioned in connection with the incident.
He was released last night and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
