A man in his 20s is in a serious condition after he was hit by a truck on the south quays in the city centre.
It happened on Merchants Quay at around ten to seven this morning.
The pedestrian was rushed to St James Hospital where he is is a serious condition.
The road is closed and diversions are in place.
Witnesses are asked to contact Kevin St Garda station.
