A man in his late teens has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a teenager outside the Dundrum Town Centre.
The 19-year-old managed to escape his attacker after he was stabbed a number of times on Tuesday night.
Just after 11.15pm staff at the cinema complex within the Dundrum Town Centre raised the alarm after the victim ran inside looking for help.
He'd been stabbed several times and the workers attended to him until an ambulance arrived.
He was then taken to St. Vincent's Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A technical examination was carried out at the scene and a man in his late teens was arrested on the southside this morning.
He was taken to Blackrock Garda Station where he can be held for a total of 24 hours.
The area where the young man was stabbed is near a taxi rank and would have been busy at the time of the attack.
