A man's been arrested after a high speed garda chase on the M50 last night.
Eight Garda cars and the Garda helicopter responded to the incident shortly before 10pm.
Officers pursued the car up and down the m 50 motorway for 45 minutes.
The car suffered a flat tyre at some point during the chase and witnesses saw sparks coming from the wheel.
The chase eventually ended on the grounds of the Leopardstown Racecourse where it crashed.
A man was arrested at the scene and he remains in garda custody.
