A 40 year old Cork man has died in a climbing incident in northern Italy.
The man was climbing with a group of 11 friends in the Aosta region near the Swiss and French borders.
He was killed in a fall yesterday.
The man's family has been notified and is being assisted by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
