Gardai are targeting a gang of burglars that have been robbing houses in the south Dublin area.
A number of houses and apartments have been hit with elderly homeowners worst affected.
Earlier this month, a 90-year-old woman had a knife held to her throat during an aggravated burglary at her home in Dun Laoghaire.
It was the latest in a spate of burglaries believed to be carried out by a gang targeting elderly people in the south Dublin area.
Local Fine Gael Councillor Barry Ward says Gardai have been working hard to stop them but can’t do it alone.
Homeowners are being urged to make their homes more secure and report any suspicious activity in their area to their local Garda station.
