A woman in her twenties has been arrested in connection with the seizure of €500k worth of herbal cannabis at Dublin Airport.
The 25kgs of he drug were discovered when Revenue officers stopped and search the baggage of a passenger who disembarked a flight from Newark, USA today.
The discovery was made a part of of an intelligence-led operation and with the assistance of detector dog Maggie.
The woman was arrested by Gardaí and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Dublin Garda Station.
Investigations are ongoing.
