Gardaí are warning motorists they're out in force this bank holiday weekend.
Checkpoints are in place around the country and officers are watching for drink driving in particular.
If you're getting behind the wheel the message is to make sure all alcohol has left your system first.
Research shows that it takes one hour for your body to get rid of one standard drink.
