Gardai in Dublin have arrested a 15 year old boy following the carjacking of a Taxi in Terenure this morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 5.25am when the taxi stopped for a fare on Terenure Road North, the teenager got into the taxi and threatened the driver with a knife, he then demanded money and instructed the taxi driver to exit the car.
He then drove off in the car and it collided with another car on Old Cabra road, he fled the scene but was arrested by Gardai a short distance away.
He is currently being detained at Rathmines Garda station.
