A south Dublin GAA coach will be sentenced today for his part in a major drugs operation.

David Gall from The Pines, Leopardstown Road, was arrested after being caught with €600,000 worth of cannabis last August.

Almost 25 kilos of cannabis herb were found after Gardai swooped on a number of locations across Dublin.

Tests revealed the drugs had a street value of around €600,000 in total.

David Gill was arrested and back in April he pleaded guilty to possessing the drugs at three locations within Dublin on August 22nd 2013.

Following his plea, the 38-year-old father of three asked for some time to put his family affairs in order and he was remanded on continuing bail.

He's due back in court today for his sentence hearing.
