A floating sauna in Dun Laoghaire Harbour is a step closer.
It's part of efforts by the local council to attract more people to the waterfront.
Helios sauna, which is already located in Bray in Wicklow, Dundrum in Dublin and Rosslare in Wexford, says it's won the tender to deliver what is says will be Ireland's first floating sauna.
It will be located on a pontoon within the inner harbour and can include a deck area and plunge pool but customers won't be able to swim in the harbour for safety reasons.
A spokesperson for Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council says: "DLRCC ran a tender competition to find an operator for a proposed Floating Sauna within Dún Laoghaire Harbour.
"32 submissions were received and we are delighted to confirm that Helios Sauna were the successful applicant. The project must now progress through the regulatory and permitting requirements with the goal of opening in 2026."
Mikolaj Piotrowski from Helios Sauna says: "It's such a novelty but it's such a cool way to take a sauna experience. What people can expect is, entering a sauna and there will be a plunge pool and some changing facilities, it's very popular in Scandinavian countries."
