Schools are likely to stay closed for longer with restrictions on non-essential work and social activity.

As things stand, schools are also due to reopen on Monday.

Two further deaths from Covid-19 were announced last night, bringing the total to six, along with 219 new cases.

The cabinet is meeting to discuss the recommendations from the National Public Health Emergency Team.

It's believed non-essential businesses may be told to close.

While there could be extra restrictions on public spaces like parks and beaches after large crowds were found to be gathering at public amenities over the weekend.
