Nurses have called off planned industrial action at seven of the country's emergency departments.
Members of the INMO have accepted revised proposals to tackle overcrowding and staffing at EDs in hospitals around the country.
They voted 72 per cent in favour of the revised proposals from the Workplace Relations Commission.

They had rejected an earlier proposal which but after further talks, nearly three-quarters of those balloted agreed with this new document, which will see better communication between nurses in ED and senior hospital management to avoid another crisis.
The agreement comes as the latest figures from the union showed that 123 people were waiting on trolleys in emergency departments here in Dublin, with St. Vincents Hospital the worst affected.
