The Irish Hospital Consultants Association is warning that conditions in emergency departments will get worse than ever this winter.
The organisation will meet with the Minister for Health today at their annual conference in Tullamore in Offaly.
Doctors say conditions in A&Es - such as a lack of resources and growing waiting lists - are making their jobs more and more difficult.
