There are more delays to building modular homes for homeless families in Ballymun.

The 22 units may not be finished before the end of the month.

The pre-fab style houses at Balbutcher Lane were due to be finished before Christmas as part of a fast-track project.

However it's been plagued by setbacks due to poor weather and protests.

Dublin City Council had said that the 22 homes would be completed by the middle of January but its believed that works will finish even later than that.

This will mean it will have taken at least two months, twice the time estimated for completion.

The contractor on site is due to the city council an update today.
