Clerys may be gone from O'Connell Street, but the department store's famous Santa is here to stay.

It's been announced that Santa will be relocating his workshop and elves to the I BELIEVE™ Christmas market at George's Dock.

The CHQ area will, for the first time ever, play host to Dublin's biggest Christmas village and tree. A 50 foot Rockefeller-style tree is being plucked from Wicklow by Coillte.

As for Santa, he'll be offering a 30-minute group experience for up to 30 children at a time. They'll get to meet his elves in his workshop, and be encouraged to write their letter to Santa and pop into his official post box.

The I BELIEVE village will open on Thursday November 26 with the first Annual Tree Lighting ceremony, which is open to the public.
