The Central Bank of Ireland will no longer facilitate the sale of Israeli bonds from tomorrow.
Its approval of the 2024 Prospectus expires today, and Luxembourg has approved the new prospectus for Israeli bonds in the EU.
The Central Bank's role in facilitating the sale of Israeli bonds has been subject to numerous protests in recent months.
Zoe Lawlor from the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign says their grassroots movement worked.
"This is a victory for all the people who have campaigned so hard on this.
"It's a reflection of the will of the majority of people in Ireland who stand with Palestine and who are resolutely against this genocide."
Ms Lawlor also says there are a number of areas that need to be tackled next.
"The Occupied Territories Bill is coming up when the Dail resumes.
"It's crucial the Government enact that bill with goods and services included and not just goods. That's a huge push because we're waiting seven years for that.
"Obviously the use of Shannon Airport by the US military should end and also Ireland has massive trade with Israel so we need to see sanctions."
