Cabinet has approved the structures for the relocation of the new National Maternity Hospital.

Ministers signed off on the plan this morning without changes after two weeks of intense political debate.

After two weeks of a delay, Health Minister Stephen Donnelly got Cabinet sign off for the relocation of the National Maternity Hospital

But key concerns remain about ownership and the wording 'clinically appropriate treatment'

With the legal documents being approved un-changed, Social Democrats co-leader Roisin Shortall says the Government had no plans to act on those concerns, while Sinn Féin's Health Spokesman David Cullinane says no real effort was made to assume ownership of the land the new hospital will be built on.

The Dáil will debate a motion this evening calling for the NMH to be built on public land

Already Green Party backbencher Neasa Hourigan has said she will be voting against the Government.
