Brendan O'Carroll Honoured At The IFTAS

Brendan O'Carroll was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the IFTAs in Dublin last night.

The creator and star of Mrs Brown's Boys was recognised for his contribution to comedy.

Mrs Brown's Boys also won the IFTA for best comedy show, while Baz Ashmawy's 50 Ways to Kill Your Mammy took home the award for best entertainment series.

Red Rock was named as best soap, while BBC Newsline and the RTE Investigations Unit took the awards for News and Current Affairs programmes.

The awards show will be broadcast on TV3 tonight.
