Dublin has been voted the world's fifth friendliest city by readers of a US travel magazine.
Thousands of Condé Nast readers compiled the survey, putting Sydney and Dublin in joint 5th place and Auckland and Melbourne in first.
Tourism Ireland has welcomed the news saying that events like the the Horse Show, the Fringe Festival and the Dublin Theatre Festival have helped keep the capital on top.
