A new housing project has been agreed upon for the City Centre which aims to deliver new A-grade homes by 2024.

The project will be at the one, two and three-bedroom complexes at the old Liberty House Flats Complex on Railway Street.

The housing group plans to hand over the keys to people waiting on social housing.

Circle CEO John Hannigan said he's delighted with the outcome:

"We've been working on this site for the last 7 years, with Dublin City Council as our partners. We've been very fortunate to negotiate with AIB to get the funding in place to be able to build it."

The Housing Minister, Darragh O'Brien, officially launched the project this morning.
